Protecting your private information is our priority. This Privacy Policy applies to SafeDateID, and SafeDateID.me, Inc. and governs data collection and usage. For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, unless otherwise noted, all references to SafeDateID.me, Inc. include www.safedateid.com, SafeDateID, about.safedateid.com, and blog.safedateid.com. The SafeDateID application is a web application. By using the SafeDateID application, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of Your Personal Information

In order to better provide you with products and services offered, SafeDateID may collect personally identifiable information, such as your:

  • First and last name

  • Email address

  • Phone number

If you purchase SafeDateID products and services, we collect billing and credit card information. This information is used to complete the purchase transaction.

SafeDateID may also collect anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your:

  • Age

  • Gender

  • Current location

  • Hometown

We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. However, you may be required to provide certain personal information when you elect to use certain products or services. These may include: (a) registering for an account; (b) entering a sweepstakes or contest sponsored by us or one of our partners; (c) signing up for special offers from selected third parties; (d) sending us an email message; (e) submitting your credit card or other payment information when ordering and purchasing products and services. We will use your information for, but not limited to, communicating with you in relation to services and/or products you have requested from us. We may also gather additional personal or non-personal information in the future.

Use of Your Personal Information

SafeDateID collects and uses your personal information to operate and deliver the services you have requested.
SafeDateID may also use your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from SafeDateID and its affiliates.

Social Media

You may be able to create an account using Facebook login. You may also connect your Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter accounts to share more information with other SafeDateID users. You may disconnect your social media account at any time. However, if you signed up originally with Facebook, you will need to delete your entire SafeDateID account to disconnect.

Sharing Information with Third Parties

SafeDateID does not sell, rent, or lease its customer lists to third parties.

SafeDateID may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:
(a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on SafeDateID or the site;
(b) protect and defend the rights or property of SafeDateID; and/or
(c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of SafeDateID, or the public.

Right to Deletion

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, upon receiving a verifiable request from you, we will:

  • Delete your personal information from our records; and

  • Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

Additionally, you may delete your account in your Account Settings. All of your data will be permanently erased.

We may not comply with deletion requests if it is necessary to:

  • Complete the transaction for which the personal information was collected;

  • Detect security incidents or protect against fraud or illegal activity;

  • Debug to identify and repair functionality issues;

  • Exercise free speech or another legal right;

  • Comply with legal obligations, such as the California Electronic Communications Privacy Act;

  • Conduct scientific or statistical research in the public interest with your consent;

  • Enable internal uses aligned with your expectations;

  • Otherwise use the information lawfully in a way compatible with the original context.

Children Under Thirteen

SafeDateID does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under thirteen, you must have parental permission to use this application.

Disconnecting Your SafeDateID Account from Third Party Websites

You may connect your SafeDateID account to third-party services. BY DOING SO, YOU CONSENT TO THE CONTINUOUS RELEASE OF INFORMATION TO THOSE THIRD PARTIES ACCORDING TO YOUR PRIVACY SETTINGS. If you do not want this, do not connect accounts. You may disconnect by going to your Account Settings and clicking the appropriate option.

E-mail Communications

From time to time, SafeDateID may contact you via email regarding announcements, offers, alerts, confirmations, surveys, or other general communication. We may be notified when you open these emails or click links, to improve our services.

To stop receiving marketing emails from SafeDateID, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any such email.

External Data Storage Sites

We may store your data on servers provided by third-party hosting vendors we’ve contracted with.

Changes to This Statement

SafeDateID reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes by:

  • Sending a notice to your registered email

  • Placing a prominent notice on our application

  • Updating this policy on our website

Your continued use of the SafeDateID service after such changes means you accept the updated policy.
